(Charlottetown, PEI) July 13th, 2012 – Tracey Allen has just launched her second book in paperback and
Kindle format. The book titled Sustainable Table – Take Back Your Plate focuses on revisiting what we put on our plate based on ten guiding principles.
Allen says, “This book was written to give a starting point for people looking to simplify and save while being mindful of the environment.” Life can be cluttered and by simplifying we can take back our plate from the world of processed foods and feel more in touch with our food supply.
Chapters in the book include; Feed a family for less than $50 a week, Super Slim me, Food Free for all, Real cost of food, No Waste Strategy, Eating in Season and many more. Included in the book are recipes to create made from scratch meals, sauces, and snacks with adaptations for gluten-free and lactose-free options for those that have food sensitivities. The book’s website has a blog that includes recipes and other tidbits not in the book.
Tracey Allen has been home cooking for over 27 years and gardening for over 15 years, while writing articles on a various topics as a member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada.
